Machines for mechanical work
We're not interested in replacing people who are doing creative, meaningful work. What we care about is the stuff that's repetitive and tedious, and the things that weren't previously possible because the cost was too high. AI is most exciting when it creates a new capability, not when it eliminates a job.

Say it plainly
AI has made the world noisier. We think the appropriate response is to be blunt. We won't dress up a simple product in complicated language, and we won't hide behind vague scope. If something is going to take a week, we'll say a week. If we think an idea won't work, we'll say that too.

Short time to value
The longer it takes to see whether something works, the more money you spend finding out. We use AI heavily in our own process specifically to compress that gap. You should be looking at a working thing within days of paying for it, not waiting around for a status update.
